Sectional Trainer is a study tool for reading FAA charts. It is deliberately small, and so is this. The short version: you can use the whole thing without an account, and if you make one, the only things stored are your email address and which questions you got right.
Nothing leaves your browser. Your answer history lives in that browser's
localStorage and is never sent anywhere. Clearing your browser
data deletes it, and nobody — including us — has a copy.
What is stored on the server:
There is no newsletter, and your address is not shared, sold, or used to advertise to you.
Three companies, and only three:
No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels. Nothing you do in the app — which questions you open, how long you spend, what you get wrong — is measured or reported anywhere.
Everything the app needs, including the Supabase library, is served from this domain rather than a third-party CDN. That does not make the traffic invisible: Cloudflare hosts the site and sees the requests either way. What it avoids is involving an additional company who would learn your IP address purely because a script tag pointed at them.
One exception, stated plainly: the Ko-fi tip button is a
third-party widget loaded from ko-fi.com. Loading any page with
it therefore reveals your IP address and browser to Ko-fi, whether or not you
click it, under
their
privacy policy. It is the only outside script on the site. Blocking it
changes nothing else — the trainer works identically without it.
Open the account panel from the header and choose Delete my account and all my data. It removes your login and every answer you have recorded, immediately and permanently. Answer history is append-only by design, so there is no recovery afterwards — that is the point.
Signing out on its own does not delete anything; it leaves this device's local copy alone.
This is a study aid for pilot certification and is not directed at children under 13. Please do not create an account if you are under 13.
If this changes in a way that affects what is stored, the date at the top changes with it.
The chart images come from FAA-CT-8080-2H, a US Government publication and therefore not subject to copyright. They are 2018 testing plates, reproduced for practice only. Frequencies, airspace boundaries and airport data change constantly. Never use this app to plan or fly a real flight — use current charts.
